Neuropsychiatry and Brain–Behavior Relationships

Neuropsychiatry and Brain–Behavior Relationships focuses on understanding how brain structure and function influence behavior, cognition, emotions, and mental health. This interdisciplinary field bridges psychiatry, neurology, and neuroscience to explore the biological basis of psychiatric disorders and their clinical manifestations.

The session will explore brain–behavior interactions, including how abnormalities in neural circuits, neurotransmitter systems, and brain regions contribute to conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. It will also examine cognitive functions like memory, attention, and decision-making in relation to brain activity.
